Join us at Big Mountain basecamp for an evening dedicated to mountain culture, adventure, and exchange. Simond is partnering with Whympr to offer a unique experience, with films, discussions and refreshments.

Film screenings:
‘The Pioneers’ (15 min) – Directed by Pascal Barneville: The ascent of the Dent du Géant by three generations of renowned mountaineers (Annabelle Bouchardon, Benjamin Védrines, and François Marsigny). A magnificent ode to the passing down of knowledge and the evolution of mountaineering practices.

‘Intezar’ (40 min) – Directed by Clément Armand: Victor Garcin’s poignant account of his solo record attempt on Gasherbrum II (8,035 m) as he faced the Baltoro Glacier. A powerful film exploring resilience, friendship, and humility.

Panel discussion:
The evening will continue with a discussion on the theme ‘The development of risk in the mountains.’
