Summary
In 1959, twelve mountaineers, including a Swiss woman, set off for the Himalayas. For the first time, an all-female expedition aimed for a peak over 8,000 meters. Would they succeed in making history?
Thanks to previously unseen images and the testimony of the last surviving pioneer, we are dusting off this unjustly forgotten adventure and highlighting what it represented for the history of mountaineering and for feminism for the first time.
