The first edition of Chamonix Film Festival will be a major event in the valley.
To all mountain lovers and adventure seekers – come and spend an incredible week in the mountains!
Chamonix is the birthplace of alpinism two centuries ago, and we aim to continue this heritage, now with UNESCO status.
Whether it’s at the cinema, in the mountains, at our basecamp – you will have an amazing time! It promises to be exciting, emotional and unforgettable – all in the spirit of adventure.
The screenings of the films in the official selection are scheduled in the three rooms of the Vox cinema, from 7 pm to 10.45 pm. Three films (two on the last night) will be screened, followed by discussions with the protagonists and directors. Each day, between 4pm and 6pm, conferences will also be offered.
Our base camp will be established at PlanB, a place that brings people together in Chamonix. It will be the ideal place to meet around our bookshop, to meet personalities and to share the aperitifs/meetings organised each evening, between 5 and 6 pm.
This is the uniqueness of our festival, it also takes place in the mountains! It’s up to you to take action with outings supervised by the Compagnie des guides de Chamonix, photo and video training and the Petzl Altitude Camp, which will give you the unforgettable experience of a bivouac in the high mountains.
