On February 2, 2021, renowned polar explorer Vincent Colliard and his partner Caroline Côté, an adventure filmmaker and ultra-marathon athlete, began a winter crossing of Svalbard’s vast and rugged territory. Completely autonomous for more than two months and over a distance in excess of 1,000km, they had to use strength, daring and endurance in order to achieve the objective they had set themselves: the first North-South crossing of the main island of Spitsbergen in the heart of the polar winter.
