Benjamin Védrines loves Chamlang and the great Himalayan mountain is good to him. After working alongside Nicolas Jean, he returned to the exceptionally steep North Face to “finish the job” in the company of Charles Dubouloz. Two of today’s best climbers for an ambitious project, in a very pure style. Two mountaineers but also two very endearing guys. This film is delightful because it combines performance with the simplicity of these two characters who hide nothing of their doubts and sufferings during this ascent. Their expedition was partly shared with a group of friends (Fanny Schmutz, Damien Tomasi, Symon Welfringer and Aurélien Vaissière) with whom they acclimatised. The whole thing looks like a beautiful story of friendship.
