Experienced ski tourers with a good level of skiing in all types of snow competent off-piste skiers.
The snow will be hard in the morning and will require good control. This workshop is not an initiation to ski touring but an improvement for those who want to ski on glaciers. Fitness wise, you need to be able to do 1000m vertical climb in a day.

Ski touring, hiking boots, poles, skins, knives, DVA, shovel, probe.
Hat, sunglasses, ski mask, sun cream, first layer such as a technical tee shirt, fleece, down jacket, gore tex windproof jacket, two pairs of gloves (one thick for the descent and one thin for the ascent), ski socks, 30 to 45 liter mountain backpack, water bottle or 1l thermos.
Helmet, harness, ice axes, crampons, micro traxion, strap 120, ropes, 2 ice pins, 3 screw carabiners, glacier rope 30m.
Explanation of the fundamentals of glacier skiing.
Ski teaching. Skinning and de-skinning on the glacier.
Equipment to bring, roped skiing, holding a fall in a crevasse, reading routes on a glacier.
Descent to the Vallée Blanche then up to Helbronner.
Departure at 6am, 5 hours of skiing and return to the bivouac at 11am.
