We will leave in the early morning to go to the plan de l’aiguille. The northern faces of the Chamonix Needles provide the setting, with marmots and ptarmigan acting as extras. We will learn how to use our camera, while discovering the techniques of taking pictures in the mountains. Flowers, fauna or landscapes will be captured by our camera during this half-day initiation.

Instructor

Daniel Rodrigues is a photographer, naturalist and mountain guide with the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix. The Mont Blanc trails hold no secrets for him and he knows where to get the best shots and provoke beautiful encounters with the wildlife. His pictures are among the most beautiful made around Chamonix. Each of them expresses the unsuspected richness of nature. He enjoys leading people into the mountains and sharing his photographic skills.

Equipment required

• Hydration and food
  For a morning in the mountains, bring some food and at least a litre of water.
• Clothing and equipment
  To be adapted according to the weather, but in the mountains it can always be cold when you go into the shade. Bring walking trousers, technical underwear, fleece and windproof jacket (Gore-Tex type), cap, sunglasses (index 4), sun cream.

Photo Equipment

Make sure you charge your batteries as much as possible and bring memory cards with enough free space to take pictures during the whole course.
